Tegrity Issue in Colden Hall Labs Reported on 9-17-2008

Because of a recent Microsoft Update, in order to play our older 7.1.2 version Tegrity Presentations a new ActiveX control called Windows Media Player Extension from Microsoft needs to be installed on the viewing machine.

Open a Tegrity presentation and watch for a yellow information bar at the top but below the address bar of the Internet Explorer window. The information bar will say… this website wants to run the following add-on: Windows Media Player Extension from Microsoft Corporation. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here…

Another window will also appear, the Internet Explorer Window saying, Windows Media Player Plug in is required to view the class. The download … Do you want to download now? Click ‘Cancel’

Another window appears asking: Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Click ‘Cancel’

At this point right click the yellow Information Bar at the top and select Run ActiveX Control. Click Run for the next window.

After this has installed, the older Tegrity Presentations should play. Please call the CITE Office, 562-1532 if problems still exist.
